Long Haul is an ongoing series documenting every flight undertaken by Severin Hallauer since leaving Switzerland in 2021. Each work originates from a photograph taken during a flight and is transformed into an abstract airplane window, dissolving landscapes, time zones, and borders into fields of color.

The series reflects on the transitional space of air travel: suspended between departure and arrival, intimacy and anonymity, origin and destination. Repeated across changing skies and journeys, the airplane window becomes a recurring frame for experiences of migration, displacement, and belonging. As the series expands with every flight, it forms a continuous autobiographical chronology of movement and an increasingly transient sense of home.

Five consecutive flights form one chronological chapter. Each chapter constitutes one artwork consisting of five airplane windows and is produced in an edition of 5 + 2 AP. Individual windows from a chapter are not sold separately.
